When Shipping Parts
1 Ensure the parts are clean, dirty parts that require excessive cleaning will incur an additional cleaning charge. Parts should be free of dirt and oil. If you do not have access to a parts cleaner the easiest way to clean most parts would be to bring them with you to the car wash and use the pressure washer and or the engine de-greaser option. If you choose to do this remember to dry the parts off very well or they will rust.
2 If you are able, it is also best to preliminarily inspect the parts using our core guidelines. This will help to determine (before the cost of shipping parts to us) if your core parts are good or not. If you are in doubt you can always send some pictures of your used parts to info@jhbperormance.com and we can give you a good visual assessment.
3 Make sure the parts are packaged very well, rotors are especially susceptible to being damaged in shipping. If you do not have Mazda rotor boxes you should first wrap your rotors in cardboard at least twice and then in bubble wrap. The box should be lined in 1" thick foam insulation with the rotors packaged very securely.
4 Please use our forms for shipping and be sure to include all of your contact information and return shipping destination if other than the origin.
5 All parts importing into Canada will be brokered by Affiliated Customs Brokers. Irrespective of the declared value of the parts that are being sent to JHB Performance Inc. for repairs or overhaul, there will be a $27 CDN brokerage charge per package (this is much less than the standard charges issued by UPS or FedEx). For parts exporting from Canada to the United States, we can also offer the services of Affiliated Customs Brokers OR you are free to use the broker of your choice / self broker for clearing the package through customs.
6 Disclaimer: JHB Performance Inc. is not liable for any damage or loss incurred during shipping. Further, it is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that the package is properly insured for import and export from JHB Performance Inc., should the return insurance value not be clearly stated in writing to JHB Performance Inc., the said value will match that of the import shipment.
Under no circumstances are costs such as shipping, brokerage fees or duty and taxes (if applicable) refundable once they have been incurred. The Customer is responsible for all shipping related charges unless otherwise stated in writing by management at JHB Performance Inc.
